CJI Systems Ltd ("CJI Systems", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through cji-systems.com, how we use it and your rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

2. What we collect
- When you contact us through the website form: your name, email address, organisation (if you give it), the type of enquiry and your message. The form sends your enquiry to us by email; the website itself doesn't store it.
- When you book a Strategy Call: your name, email address, the meeting time and anything you choose to tell us about your enquiry.
- When you visit the site: if you accept analytics cookies, information about your device and how you use the site (see section 4).
We only collect what we need. Please don't send us sensitive information through the website.
3. How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange meetings
- To understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it
- To meet our legal obligations
We don't sell or rent your personal information.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site – for example which pages are viewed, how long visits last, the type of device and browser used, and how visitors found us. This information is reported to us in aggregate and is not used to identify you.
Google Analytics only runs if you choose "Accept analytics" in our cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings (also in the footer of every page). We store your choice in your browser so we don't ask on every visit.
Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC. You can also opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), or block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our business, and only for that purpose – for example our website hosting and email delivery provider (Amazon Web Services), our website analytics provider (Google, only with your consent) and our email and calendar provider (Microsoft). We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
6. Storage overseas
Some of our service providers store information outside New Zealand, including in Australia and the United States. We use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected in a way comparable to the Privacy Act 2020.
7. How we protect and keep it
We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure, including access controls and secure systems. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete it securely.
8. Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email our Privacy Officer, Craig Irving, at info@cji-systems.com. We will respond within 20 working days, as the Privacy Act 2020 requires.
9. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
